Red Chapter Ambigram Clothing has arrived!

Until a year or so ago we carried Affliction Clothing on our web sites and in our Retail Boutique. We always appreciated the quality of the fabric that Affliction used in their shirts but eventually chose to stop carrying the line for several reasons. One reason was that we wanted an edgy quality line with original art work and after their first season some of the Affliction designs started to look( in our opinion ) like art work that can be found in books rather than hand drawn original pieces.

That is why we were very excited to meet local artist Mark Palmer and be among the first to see his new line of clothing called Red Chapter Clothing. Mark is the leading Ambigram artist in the world. He makes Ambigram designs for tattoos and creates original art work. The Red Chapter shirts are everything that we have been looking for. Mark and the team at Red Chapter Clothing create unique clothing designs showcasing stylized Ambigrams. Ambigrams are lettering works of art that can be read both forward and upside down. A Symmetrical Ambigram says the same thing when looked at both ways. An Asymmetrical Ambigram says something different when viewed upside down. The Ambigram for the name RedChapter itself is a symmetrical Ambigram and can be read the same in both directions. The artists at Red Chapter create wearable art with amazing Victorian and Gothic style artwork as a background that showcases an asymmetrical Ambigram design. Red Chapter embraces Duality in their designs as each shirt design has an ambigram showcasing the dual sides of life. Jimi Hendrix Stage Wear Shirts

We have been very excite about the Jimi Hendrix Black Velvet Stage Coat finally being available again.....and now we are really excited that this seasons new Hendrix Shirts are here!







The Jimi Hendrix Collection shirts are designed by Christopher Wicks of English Laundry fame and licensed with the Hendrix Estate. Jimi's sister submits pieces of Jimi's actual stage wear wardrobe to Christopher Wicks who then recreates many of the pieces or creates new designs with the same flair that he then adds unique details to like embroidered Hendrix lyrics.



This season the designs are truly stunning and include a few button front shirts that would look amazing worn under the Hendrix Velvet Coat.

We did a Holiday photo shoot here at the Perpetual Vogue Boutique two weeks ago. It was an opportunity for our shop customers to be shot by Professional Pin Up Photographers for a special Holiday Event price. One of our customers brought his girlfriend in to take part in the event. He then decided to get the Hendrix Coat and one of the new Hendrix shirts for himself to wear in some of the shots. The photographer shot him in the Coat with his lovely girlfriend at his feet looking up at him adoringly - very cool! We are looking forward to seeing the photos.

Rock Star Jewelry

We have been receiving emails asking who the guy playing the guitar in the blue picture seen on our Squidoo How To Dress Like a Rock Star lens is.

That is Joel Hoekstra of Night Ranger. Joel is currently performing in the Off Broadway show Rock of Ages in New York while Night Ranger is on hiatus. He is wearing the Rocker Crown Pendant which is available at RockerJewelry.com .

We were surprised to notice when attending the recent Magic Convention/Fashion Event that many of the new brands that we were attracted to were from Miami based companies.

Bettie Page Clothing - Retro Style dresses for todays woman styled after the infamous Bettie Page
