TattooApparel.com would love to start posting more customer photos on our web site photo gallery and Facebook Page. Want to see your photo posted on our site or Facebook Page? Just email us a photo of yourself wearing something you purchased from us and there is a good chance you will find yourself on our Facebook Wall or web site photo gallery. If you are in a band this is a good way to get a bit of free promotion. We love photos from all customers though - you do not have to be a band member - so please share your photos with us. Photos can be emailed as jpeg files to Sales@TattooApparel.com - please put "Customer Photo Submission" in the email title so that we will find it even if it lands in our spam folder.

We may even decide to do a contest in the future where people that have submitted photos this year are automatically entered for a chance to win a gift card. So send us your photos - you have nothing to lose.

Bama Glama Premieres on The Food Network

If you love Day of the Dead, Dia de Los Muertos Art the way we do then you enjoy it all year long, not just in October and November. We have the designers at De La Luna make us wonderful accessories for men and women that feature Dia de Los Muertos artwork Sugar Skulls, Skeleton Musicians and Dancers make for fun embellishments on these custom fashion accessories.

We started carrying custom De La Luna items last year and they were a huge hit with our in store and online customers. This year we have expanded the range of designs and have lots of coordinating pieces.

The bifold wallets are leather, the flasks are stainless steel and the new card holders are metal. The fabric artwork is hand applied by the artist and is coated to protect it. Some of the flasks are 6 ounce and some are 8 ounce. All flasks come with a funnel and shot glass. Bifold wallets are 4 1/4 inches (when closed) and have plenty of card slots inside. The new card holders have been a big hit. These items make great gifts and are very reasonably priced.

Celebrate Halloween without a costume

Fall in including Halloween is a fun time of year. You can dress to celebrate the season without having to wear a costume. Some people don't like wearing costumes, prefer to wear something that they can wear more than once or are attending Holiday Events at locations that do not permit costumes (some theme parks and events do not allow costumes).

We love the dresses and accessories from Folter Clothing that have a retro, tattoo, skull or monster theme as they can be worn year round yet are also perfect for Halloween Parties and Events. Living Dead Souls New Rocker and Military Look Collection

Living Dead Souls is a U.K. based clothing design company that also has offices in the United States. In the past we have carried the Sailor Girl Nautical Collection, some Satin Corsets and the Skull Rose Tattoo Art Collection from their line.

We were thrilled this year to see Living Dead Souls come out with some real Rocker look designs in Black with metal detailing and a Rocker Style Military look collection. Diabolik 85258 Jewelry is designed and hand crafted in the USA by the artisans at Diabolik 85258. The designers at Diabolik Jewelry use lead free American Pewter for their designs. We love the designs from Diabolik as they have a real Rocker edginess to them. The brand is favored by members of many Rock Bands including members of Megadeth and Testament.

National Model Search Winners and Sponsors

January was something of a blur for us here at TattooApparel.com . In late December we announced our National Model Search Contest Winners and the first half of January was spent pulling things together for the Photo Shoot.

Our Contest Winners were Beau from MA and Adrienne from KY. They received an expense paid trip to Southern California for four nights, a wardrobe prize package and took part in a photo shoot for TattooApparel.com. During there stay in Southern California they spend some time at the beach in Santa Monica and dined at some fun restaurants including the House of Blues at Downtown Disney. Both winners really enjoyed the warm California weather as they were coming from snowy conditions. Beau and Adrienne were a lot of fun and we enjoyed having them here with us.

When they arrived in Southern California on Saturday, January 22nd they visited the Perpetual Vogue Boutique to see their wardrobe prizes and enjoy some champagne before checking into their hotel. TattooApparel.com wishes to thank the other wardrobe prize sponsors. They include Tres Noir who supplied two pair of hand made sunglasses to each winner, T.U.K. Shoes who supplied three pair of shoes to each winner, Femme Metale Sterling Silver Jewelry who supplied $200.00 of Sterling Silver Jewelry to each winner, Cartel Ink who supplied lots of shirts to each winner and Rock House who supplied shirts to the male contest winner. The big photo shoot took place on Monday, January 24th at a beautiful 70,000 s.f. mansion overlooking the ocean in Palos Verdes Estates California. The day started with a visit to Primarily Hair in La Habra California for hair and makeup services. Primarily Hair was a contest sponsor and they opened the salon for just our group that morning. We were welcomed by their smiling staff with breakfast and a big Congratulations sign for our winners. Make Up Artist Gianna Collica then went to the photo shoot location to take care of make up and hair touch ups for the day. Gianna is a veteran of many TattooApparel.com photo shoots and is always a huge help in keeping things organized. Photography for the photo shoot was by contest sponsor, Painted Pinups Photography. Painted Pinups specializes in Pin Up style photography but they also do some amazing marketing and product photography for us on our shoots. Also taking part in this photo shoot were Metal Sanaz, the gorgeous lady of heavy metal music and our good friend Heath who has modeled for us in the past. Heath was on double duty as he was also shooting video for us as his company HMC Creative does some killer videos. We just started going through the photos from the shoot and there are some really gorgeous shots. We look forward to getting them up on our site as we add the new styles from the photo shoot onto the web site over the next several weeks.

We are behind on our blog postings as our staff was all busy with our National Model Search Contest over the Holidays as it was coming to an end. The contest winners were announced just before Christmas and they came to California for their photo shoot last weekend. The TattooApparel.com National Model Search Contest is now Live. Men and Women over the age of 21 who have not modeled for TattooApparel.com in the past are eligible to enter. No previous modeling experience is necessary, tattoos are not necessary and no purchase is required to enter. Entering is FREE. One male and one female winner will be chosen from the entrants.

The Contest will run through December 15th. The two winners will receive a trip to Southern California to take part in a Professional Photo Shoot for TattooApparel.com. New styles of Jewelry that Rockers love to wear

When our designer collaborates with our favorite jewelry designer/fabricator the results are pendants that the men (and the ladies ) of Rock love to wear.

When coming up with ideas for new pendant designs we often have a specific Rocker in mind for prototype or the first piece of a new design. Joel Hoekstra of Night Ranger has been a customer for years and as such we have some understanding of his style.

We co-designed our latest Fleur de Lis Pendant with Joel in mind. The design is a dark metal Fleur Design set on a semi-precious Dalmation Stone surrounded by jet hematite crystals in a dark metal setting. Here is a photo of yours truly with the guys from Night Ranger in which Joel is wearing his new pendant.

Night Ranger has several upcoming concert dates. They put on a fabulous show. Joel Hoekstra has also become part of TSO for upcoming East Coast Tour dates and continues to perform on Broadway and in the touring show of Rock of Ages. He is the busiest guitarist around!

We were recently asked to assist with the styling of Canadian Rock Band, SoulHeavy . Thinking about these guys style and wear they wanted to go with new stage wear got us thinking about a new type of Rocker Jewelry pendant. Dog Tags have always been a popular necklace design but I think that they are a bit too simple looking for a real Rocker and need something more to make them unique and edgy. To that end we just added four new pendant combos to our Rocker Jewelry offerings that are a combination of a metal design embellished Dog Tag with the addition of a Metal Pendant hanging together from a d-ring on a heavy metal chain (no cheesy ball chains here). We are loving these new designs, the first of each will soon be in the hands of the band members of SoulHeavy. This week the largest newspaper in Orange County California profiled the Perpetual Vogue Store and TattooApparel .com in an article on their web site which will later run in the print version of the newspaper. Reporter Lou Ponsi of the Orange County Register came out to a recent photo shoot for the Perpetual Vogue Store along with his photographer. They shot some behind the scenes photos of the fashion photo shoot and spent some time speaking with the participants. Twenty of the behind the scenes photos are posted in a gallery on the Orange County Register's online version of the story.

Perpetual Vogue and TattooApparel.com schedule photo shoots for their fashions periodically using local models, photographers, hair and makeup artists. The photography team from Painted Pinups does most of the photography for the Perpetual Vogue photo shoots. Painted Pinups specializes in Pin Up Photography but their team does a great job with the fashion shoots for Perpetual Vogue and TattooApparel.com . For this most recent photo shoot hair and makeup artist Gianna Collica was on hand all day to keep the models looking great.

The models for this Perpetual Vogue photo shoot were Cody Gardner, Octavian Milano, Kellie Lauren Johnnie and Heath Cofran.

The Rock Your Wardrobe NightClub Fashion Show for the new Perpetual Vogue line was a hit. The Perpetual Vogue Store provided fashions from the new Perpetual Vogue Brand and Anama Clothing for the NightClub Fashion Show at Avec Nightclub in Huntington Beach California.

Avec was packed to capacity with more people waiting in line outside hoping to get in the night of the show. The models for Perpetual Vogue and TattooApparel.com hit the runway a little after midnight to the roar of the cheering crowd. Vanish Marketing was on hand and filmed a video of the show. The yellow bubble dress was also worn the next night on the Red Carpet at the MTV Movie Awards by our lovely model.

The models were accessorized with Custom Made Belts and Rocker Jewelry.

The Perpetual Vogue Boutique is having a Fashion Show at Avec Nightclub on Saturday, June 5th.

Avec is a hot new Southern California Night Club located in Huntington Beach. The Club opens at 9:00 and gets really hopping from 10:00 on each night.

Red Chapter Clothing's office / design studio is located very close to our boutique and warehouse so we have a great relationship with the guys at Red Chapter and often see new designs first.

The tattoo art style Ambigram designs on Red Chapter shirts is the work of Mark Palmer of WOW Tattoos fame. Mark has been creating Ambigram tattoo designs for years and counts many celebrities and rockers among his customers.

This year's Anama Spring/Summer Fashion Collection is setting the bar high when it comes to stylish women's wear and edgy menswear. We have been a fan of Anama for years now and have carried the brand in our boutique and on our online store for some time - but we truly feel that the designers at Anama have outdone themselves this season. This season's offerings are truly timeless and are pieces that can be worn year round for seasons to come.

We knew that we were going to love the new pieces before we even saw them in person. We received a beautiful "look book" from the company's designer a week before we were scheduled to meet with them to see the line in person. Upon opening the book we were so excited that we called the designer to congratulate them on the new season's pieces. The book was full of beautifully shot photographs of Anama's models wearing the dresses, tunics and shirts in destinations in the Greek Islands. Having been around the block we knew to look past the beautiful location shots and really observe the fashions themselves and how they draped on the body of the models. The new ladies pieces looked stunning - they looked beautiful yet comfortable at the same time. They were designs that could fit not just size 2 models but curvier gals too and they were pieces that could take you from day to night - edgy yet elegant, European Elegance combined with American Rock n Roll Influences creating a beautiful marriage of fashion. The new men's shirts appeared to be bucking the trend of overblinged out bright colors - instead they opted for edgy styles with embellishments that were in tonal variations that had more texture than bling - shirts that a Rock Star or a regular guy going out on a date would both wear and could keep in their wardrobe for seasons to come.

Then we went to our meeting to see the designs in person and were further blown away by the wonderful feel of the fabrics and the great detailing. A few weeks later the first pieces began to arrive in our store's warehouse - we could not wait to bring in our own models and photographers to shoot the new designs for our web site, www.TattooApparel.com . The photos from the shoot were so fantastic that we had to have some made into posters and framed canvases to hang in our store. We always do our own photo shoots for products as we do not like to use stock photos - we want to show the fashions we carry on our own models (and please NOTE that therefore our photographs are copyrighted to our company - other retailers may NOT copy or use our photographs and to do so is a crime). The photos in this post are photos from our recent photo shoot for TattooApparel.com and the Perpetual Vogue boutique.

The fabrics Anama uses range from Rayon blends to Cotton Modal blends. They all have a wonderful feel to them and drape the body beautifully. Another plus is that these fabrics pack beautifully making Anama fashions fabulous for vacation and travel.

We have been carrying DOCTRINE Apparel pretty much from the inception of the brand. What attracted us to DOCTRINE was that their styles truly were fashions for Rock Stars with the shirts having real leather embellishments, hand applied metal studding and thick proprietary embroidery added to the amazing art work that was printed on them. The amount of expensive detailing on the original line of premium wear from DOCTRINE was truly amazing. Many of the t shirts retailed for over $165.00 because of the amount of work and detailing. Our musician customers that wanted highly detailed shirts appreciated the line and felt that it was worth the price.

An era has come to an end as the economy has forced DOCTRINE to change their line to hit a lower price point that they feel will make the line something that more people can afford. We previewed the new line in February and will be bringing in some of the new designs in the near future when they are ready. The new designs are still cool with edgy artwork and print designs that we think will appeal to our customers. There is still some embellishment detailing but on a much smaller scale than the original DOCTRINE premium line.

While we are saddened to see the change in the line we think the line will still hold great appeal to our customers and look forward to bringing in the new, lower priced designs.

Having been a big believer in the brand we originally ordered very large quantities of the premium series shirts and have been holding some back so we are one of the few places where they are still available. We have just drastically lowered the prices on our mens DOCTRINE premium shirts to allow our customers the opportunity to own one of the original DOCTRINE shirts including those with lots of leather and embroidery while they last. Okay, I admit it - I love shoes. I can go a few months without buying a pair but then I cannot help myself and have to go on a shoe buying spree. We don't carry shoes in our boutique so I actually do have to shop when I want to buy shoes.

We have been mentally digesting everything we saw at the recent Fashion Trade Shows and events and are pleased with the direction that premium streetwear and rocker fashion appears to be heading .

Some things we were happy to see:

For menswear Tattoo Art influences will continue to be strong but the emphasis is moving away from the overblingy look of Christian Audigier/Ed Hardy towards more emphasis on design and fabric treatments - strong designs with more emphasis on design details instead of super bright colors.

The embellishments on many mens brands have moved towards tone on tone appliques with tonal embroidery touches where again design is more about texture than bright colors. For example we have carried Anama womens clothing for years and love their styles. In the past we only carried a small subset of their mens line as we found much of their mens line to be too bright in color and over the top flamboyant. We just placed a large order with Anama for this season's mens line though as this time we feel they really got it right - their new line is all about texture and tonality with just touches of color. We are looking forward to the shirts starting to arrive soon. Some of their new women's styles arrived at our boutique this week. They are available now in the store and will be on our site as soon as we get a photo shoot scheduled.

V-necks shirts for men are strong utilizing everything from subtle tonal treatments to large fashion cover newsprint style prints. We are expecting in new mens v necks from Anama, Division E, Alternative, Indigo Star, Casualties of Summer and a new line that we are excited about called Societies Idols.

Speaking of Societies Idols they have some killer designs on ladies beater tanks. The Peace Sign continues to be used in fashion for 2010 and Societies Idols takes it to an edgy side with ladies tops that have peace signs made from bullets or lip stick cases - killer cool!

We feel that customers are looking to make fashion purchases on items that will not be tied to frivolous trends but will be statement pieces that will be timeless additions to their wardrobes. To that end we have commissioned some amazing belts and buckles to be made for us for men and women that will be edgy yet timeless in their style making them a great addition to any wardrobe. The Michael Jackson This Is It DVD was released today. It appears to be selling like crazy on Amazon and other sites that carry DVD's. It was a worldwide phenomena in theaters and Michael Jackson fans worldwide are ordering it to have as a permanent memory of Michael.

To go along with the DVD the ultimate Michael collectible is the Mission Clothing Red Lion shirt design that Michael wears in much of the movie. Red Chapter Clothing including rare, retired designs available now

TattooApparel.com and our retail store Perpetual Vogue were among the very first retailers to embrace the Red Chapter line of Ambigram Shirts. As one of the first retailers we had a vision for and belief in the line that made us make sure we had ample stock of the many designs rather than being tentative like other retailers often are with newer lines. Our belief has paid off in that we are now one of very few places where some of the more rare, retired Red Chapter shirts can be found. Red Chapter was such a hit that they sold out of stock on their own site long before the Holidays.

These vests are items that have been used for Red Carpet events, Celebrity Photo shoots etc. When you order your own custom vest from one of the item pages on our site a new One of a Kind Leather Halter vest will be made for you in the same theme. TattooApparel.com has carried several designs of men's shirts each season from Mission Clothing for the last several years. We are pleased to announce that we have agreed to start making their entire line available to both our online customers and our Perpetual Vogue retail store customers.

The King of Pop continues to break more records since his unfortunate death. The CD, This Is It, seen in the above photo from Amazon is a top seller on Amazon and other sites. The movie, This Is It is bringing in big crowds during its limited release.

We were surprised a week or so back when we started receiving phone calls from customers asking us for the Red Lion Shirt that Michael Jackson wears on stage in This Is It. There are also several photographs of Michael wearing this shirt in the booklet that comes with the music CD. A local customer who had seen the shirt in our retail boutique in the past came in looking for it but we were currently sold out of them. We viewed the photos to see which shirt all the excitement was about and found that it is indeed a shirt from one of our favorite designer brands, Mission Clothing. It is the Mission Red Lion Shirt.

We love finding fashion companies that have their design team based in Los Angeles. It allows us to meet with them in person to view get a real feel for their take on fashion and view the quality of their designs.

Recently we met with the team at Indigo Star. Indigo Star is based in Los Angeles and all of their design work is done there. They have some items manufactured off shore but the actual design work is done in Los Angeles and they keep a firm hand on quality control. It is an understatement to say that we were impressed. Indigo Star mens wear has fashion forward designs equal to what we expect to find with well known streetwear brands. The beauty of Indigo Star is that the quality is actually better than many of the well known, oversaturated fashion brands that are on the market yet their prices are lower.

Indigo Star jeans and shirts have a look that makes us think of Garage Band makes it big yet wants to wear fashions that are edgy but at the same time don't look like they are trying to hard to be cool.

No one can deny the popularity of the cage fighting phenomena. It gets more and more popular over time between MMA, UFC and other fight associations it seems that there is always a big fight about to be fought.

Clothing companies of course follow current trends and it seems like there are fighter brand shirts everywhere these days.
